Band

Science has shown that musical training can change brain structure and function for the better. It can also improve long-term memory and lead to better brain development for those who start at a young age. It stimulates the brain in a very powerful way because of our emotional connection with it.

Band is offered for students in grades 5-8. Students are dropped off at West Catholic High School at 7:30AM  and participate with students from all Diocese of Grand Rapids Schools. They are bussed to school by 8:25AM through Catholic Secondary transportation.

Band is offered two mornings a week for grades 5-8. Holy Trinity School participates in this band program with the west side partner elementary schools. Cost varies depending on participation. The highlights of the year are the two band concerts a year - one during Advent and one in the spring.
