Holy Trinity School, established in 1870 on Alpine Church Road in Comstock Park, began as a small, one-room building. It expanded over time, with new schools built in 1901 and 1923 to accommodate the growing population. In 1930, the original school was replaced with a rectory. In 1965, an F4 tornado caused extensive damage to the school, forcing students to finish the year at St. Adalbert School. A new building opened in 1966, which still serves as the foundation of the current school.
By the early 1990s, the school had four split classrooms, and in 1992, kindergarten was added. In 1993, a new Family Center, Gymnasium, and classrooms were constructed. In 2000, the campus underwent further renovations. The current Master Plan includes plans to tear down the old convent and religious education building, add a new media center, and relocate the preschool and kindergarten to the main campus.
In 2020, Holy Trinity celebrated its 150th anniversary, making it one of the oldest Catholic schools in West Michigan. The school is known for its academic excellence and faith formation, offering a Catholic environment for both rural and urban families. It encourages students to engage in various activities and develop their talents.
Our mission is to know, love and serve God in all we do. The school strives to create a community where faith, knowledge and service are deeply intertwined, shaping the hearts and minds of students. At the core is a commitment to faith through daily prayer, worship and acts of service, helping students grow spiritually, morally and emotionally.
Academic excellence is also central, with a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Service to others is emphasized, fostering compassion and humility. The goal is to form compassionate leaders who live out Christ's love in the world, guided by strong moral values.
The school emphasizes the importance of community, with faculty, staff, and families working together to support students in their growth. Through faith, knowledge, and service, Holy Trinity is building a strong foundation for the future, inspiring students to lead with love, integrity, and compassion.

The theme for the 2024-2025 school year is "L.O.V.E. - Living Our Virtues Everyday," chosen to guide actions, decisions, and attitudes throughout the year. While "LOVE" may seem simple, it provides clarity and perspective during tough times. In a year filled with challenges, the theme directs everyone—staff, students, and parents—toward empathy, patience, and understanding, helping to shift focus from frustration to connection.
For teachers, it serves as a tool for conflict resolution and personal reflection, while supporting staff by fostering a culture of care and collaboration. The theme also creates a ripple effect, strengthening relationships across the entire school community, from administrators to parents. By focusing on love, the school builds a positive, inclusive environment, not just focused on academic success but on cultivating lasting, caring relationships.
Ultimately, "LOVE" serves as a constant source of strength and inspiration as the school moves forward, nurturing both the school and its broader community.

I would like to share the profound blessings that Holy Trinity School has bestowed upon my family. The heart of my testimony centers on the unwavering commitment to faith education that resonates within the walls of this wonderful school.
Holy Trinity School has been a beacon of light, providing my daughters with a solid foundation in Catholic principles. The emphasis on faith is not confined to textbooks; it permeates the very essence of daily school life.
Witnessing my children surrounded by classmates who share their commitment to living the faith has been a source of great joy.
Every Wednesday, our children actively participate in the Kids Mass, taking on readings and roles that allow them to engage in Mass. This hands-on experience not only deepens their understanding but also nurtures a profound connection to the Mass, ensuring they carry the lessons learned into the heart of our family life, as well as creating a better understanding come Sunday Mass.
In a world that often challenges our values, Holy Trinity School has become a sanctuary where the spiritual growth of our children is not only encouraged but celebrated. The sense of community, shared values, and the genuine commitment to nurturing young souls in the embrace of our Catholic faith make Holy Trinity School a true blessing in our lives.
May the light of faith continue to illuminate the path for our children and all who are part of this cherished school community. Thank you

I am a second generation alumna of Holy Trinity School. I am employed at the University of Michigan in Nuclear Medicine. When I think of my time at Holy Trinity, I think of care, connection, and warmth. I had the unique experience of having my mom working at the Church while I attended school.
It is hard to distinguish what aspect of my childhood I can attribute to school and what I can attribute to church. They felt as if they were one in the same. Each morning at school we started with announcements and prayer, religion class, and every Wednesday attended Mass. Our academic education and spiritual instruction were taught simultaneously.
Students planned Mass each week, and participated by serving, reading, or bringing up the tithing offerings.
Over time I became familiar with my classmates, teachers, priests, and office staff in a personal fashion, so everywhere I went people knew my name. I felt connected with the people around me and knew I was never alone. There was a sense of belonging and inclusion that helped foster lifelong relationships and interpersonal skills for the future. One of my favorite memories is eating a Thanksgiving meal with the entire school in the gym.
This mirrored eating dinner with my family every night and strengthened the bond between my classmates.
Holy Trinity prioritizes individual attention and care. If I received a bad grade, I could understand that the teachers only wanted me to learn and succeed. I felt comfortable enough to have a discussion with my teachers to learn why I was marked down and what would have been better. This open dialogue stayed with me even through college and sparked a love of learning. I was given every opportunity to develop who I was as a person.
With a small class, I could participate in sports, band, angel's choir, advanced math, and theater. I was offered new experiences and found what interests suited me.
Catholic schools play a vital role in shaping the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and compassionate humans. By providing a values-based education that nurtures the whole child, they empower students to excel academically, serve others selflessly, and live lives of purpose and meaning. I am excited to see the next generation and what is to come for our schools.
