Connie Armock – Preschool

I have been teaching preschool at Holy Trinity since the fall of 2021. I love teaching preschool! The preschoolers are always so excited to learn new things!

I graduated from Aquinas College with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with minors in Early Childhood Education, Reading, and Social Studies. I then continued my education at Western Michigan University with a focus on early childhood and reading classes.

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and baking.

Lindsay Reens – Grade Kindergarten

This is my second year teaching at Holy Trinity! I grew up on the westside of Grand Rapids and attended St. Anthony of Padua for elementary school and West Catholic High School. Go Falcons! I did my student teaching in a Kindergarten/first grade combined classroom. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in May 2023 from Aquinas College. While I was at Aquinas, I also played on their women's golf team. Additionally, during my summers I coach youth golf for the First Tee of West Michigan. I am looking forward to another great year teaching and watching my students learn and grow as disciples of Christ.

Mary Grace LeBlanc– Grade 1

This is my second year teaching first grade at Holy Trinity, and I’ve truly loved being part of this wonderful community. I grew up on the Northeast side of Grand Rapids, where I attended St. Thomas the Apostle for elementary school and Grand Rapids Christian for high school. I went on to earn my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Aquinas College, where I was also a member of the women's swim team.

I’m excited for another great year at Holy Trinity and look forward to continuing to grow as a teacher while helping my students learn, thrive, and build meaningful relationships with Christ.

Melissa Barngrover – Grade 2

I am so blessed to be part of the Holy Trinity family! Teaching 2nd grade and guiding my students on their faith journeys through the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist has become so important to me. I am answering God’s call to bring the children to Him as they grow in their relationship with Jesus.

My husband Matthew and I moved to the Grand Rapids area in June 2020. We are from Tucson, Arizona where I was born and raised. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2014 with B.S. in Elementary and Special Education. I have experience teaching 3rd, 4th and 6th graders and working with students from grades K-8. I love spending time with my family in Spring Lake and our dogs, Calvin and Colin.

Bailey Poling - Grade 3

I started my teaching career with Holy Trinity in 2021 and I am grateful for every minute of it! I love being a part of this community; the students and families make this job so enjoyable. I am from Grand Rapids and graduated from Spring Arbor University in the spring of 2021 with my B.S. in Elementary Education. I enjoy just about any outdoor activity, especially in the summertime, as well as anything related to Anne of Green Gables or The Andy Griffith Show. 3rd grade is a fantastic place to be and I am looking forward to another wonderful school year!

Pam Ellis – Grade 4

Holy Trinity has been such a blessing to me. I received my bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate from Western Michigan University and began my career here during the 1989-90 school year. I later went back to school and received a master’s degree in reading also from Western Michigan. I truly have enjoyed my time here at HT with the students, staff, and community. I love working in a smaller environment and the feeling of family; I also love working in a school where we can share our faith and work towards being better followers of Jesus!

Zachary Hufnagel – Grade 5 Homeroom

I grew up in Owosso, MI as the 2nd of 5 kids. I moved to Grand Rapids to attended Aquinas College and liked it so much I haven't left. I enjoy reading fantasy novels, watching/playing sports, hanging out at my parent's cottage, playing Fortnite with my roommates, board games, helping my friends lead retreats and supporting my younger siblings at their sporting events.

This will be my 5th year of teaching, all of which have been here at Holy Trinity! I am the middle school Math and Theology teacher as well as the 5th grade homeroom teacher. I graduated from Aquinas College in 2020 with my bachelor's degree and have felt truly blessed to land here in this amazing community. I grew up rather sports oriented and love supporting my students at their sporting events. It has been a joy preparing students for high school and helping them to know, love and serve God these past 3 years as a middle school teacher.

Justin Daughery – Grade 6 Homeroom

I am thankful to be welcomed into the Holy Trinity Family this year. This is currently my first year teaching as I just graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies and Secondary Education. I have lived in the West Michigan area my entire life growing up In Spring Lake and I am glad that I can begin my teaching career so close to home. I grew up going through the Catholic school system as I attended St. Mary's in Spring Lake for my K-8 education and I moved on to Muskegon Catholic Central for my high school education.

This is my first year as a full time educator and I am glad I get to learn and grow along with the students here. I am beginning my journey here teaching Middle School Science and Social studies as well as being the 6th Grade homeroom teacher. I would like to thank everyone for being so welcoming and accepting me into the Holy trinity Family.

Kitty Slasinski – Grades 7/8 Homeroom

I grew up on the east side of the state. After I was married, I moved to Grand Rapids. My husband and I both worked for the Diocese of Grand Rapids. We enjoyed getting our classes together for various history projects. After he passed, I tried other occupations, but I wasn’t happy. I realized that I missed teaching middle school students. So I spent a few years subbing in the Grand Rapids area. Last October, Mrs. Rand hired me to join the middle school staff as the language arts teacher. I really enjoy working with the students and staff. I found everyone to be incredibly friendly and helpful. I’m happy I’m here.

Jeanne Kimball - School Counselor

This is my second year at Holy Trinity as the school counselor. I work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Prior to Holy Trinity I spent 35 years of employment in Wyoming Public Schools. I started out as a math teacher and coach at the high school level but much of the last 20 years I was a middle school counselor. I currently belong to St. Anthony’s Parish, I am married to Rick and have four grown children. My kids and I went to St. Anthony's and attended West Catholic High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree with a major in math from CMU and my Master’s degree in School Counseling from WMU.

I grew up and still live on the Westside and am the daughter of “Mr. Misner” whom many affiliated with West Catholic and may have had him as a teacher and/or coach.

Amy Taylor - Physical Education

Coach Taylor (formerly Schadler) is a true Laker, receiving both her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. With over 17 years of experience in education, both in the classroom and the gym, she is excited to teach the students of Holy Trinity about living a healthy lifestyle. Coach enjoys running outdoors, fishing, reading, and really anything sports. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and running her wedding coordinating business.

Jenni Pollmann - Music

It is amazing to be on a journey of learning with the students and staff here at Holy Trinity!

This is my second year teaching music here at Holy Trinity.  I got my bachelors of music education from Calvin College in 2000 and my masters in education from Cornerstone Professional Graduate studies in 2008. I enjoy helping kids make music and learn along the way. One of my favorite things about teaching here is that students aren’t afraid of making mistakes or asking questions as we learn and grow together!
